This elegant Kyoto folding fan features two traditional Japanese kisshō (auspicious) patterns: the Kō (armor) motif and the Asanoha (hemp leaf) motif, both symbolizing protection and growth. These motifs are finished with a subtle, glossy treatment that catches the light beautifully.

The fan ribs are made of yakisusudake—bamboo that has been smoked to develop its rich, distinctive texture and color. Though minimalist in design, this fan is a fine example of Kyoto craftsmanship, offering refined beauty in every detail.
